Team communication

Tell everyone once, and know who read it.

Announcements that ask for a Got it, guides that say how things are done here, and questions asked on the case they are about. Deliberately not a chat, so nothing that matters gets buried under replies.

A 20-minute walkthrough on your own locations. We reply within one business day, and every plan is backed by our 30-day guarantee.

Announcements people confirm

An admin writes it once and sends it to everyone, all general managers, the general managers at chosen locations, or maintenance — with up to four pictures, because a poster says more than a paragraph. Each person asked is told by email and web push, and presses Got it.

The sender sees who has confirmed and who has not, and Remind them goes to the rest, at most once every four hours. A question goes to the sender alone; an update reaches everyone who was asked. An edit is marked Edited, and if what people must do has changed, the answer is a new announcement, so everyone confirms again.

Guides, questions and who hears about what

Guides

How the projector lamp is changed; what to do when the concession screens will not connect. An admin writes the steps in order, with a picture on any step, links to a video or the maker's page, and one PDF — for every location, chosen locations or chosen people. The AI assistant answers from them as written.

Ask

On a case, choose Ask someone — or type @ in a note — and pick up to five people who can already open it. They are told who asked and which case, their next note is the answer, and you are told when it arrives. Until then, the case says who it is waiting on.

Notifications

A released case goes to whoever follows that issue type at that location — its general managers by default — by email, text message and web push. Texts only go at or above the impact each person chose, and nobody is notified about a case they raised or released themselves.

What's new

After a release, people already using CineScope see one short box on their next page — What's new in CineScope — with the changes their role can open. Once, and then it is gone. New accounts get the first-run tour instead.

Team communication questions

Is this a chat app?

No, deliberately. A chat buries a change under replies and nobody can tell who has read it. Announcements ask each person to press Got it, a question about a case lives on that case, and how a job is done lives in a guide.

Who sends announcements, and who receives them?

Admins send them, to everyone, all general managers, the general managers at chosen locations, or maintenance accounts. Who was asked is fixed when it is sent, so 'confirmed by 9 of 12' still means the same twelve people next month; somebody who joins later can read it without being asked to confirm it.

How are people told?

Announcements arrive by email and web push. For cases, people are told by email, text message and web push, depending on what each person has set up, with texts only for cases at or above the impact they chose. Nobody is notified about a case they raised or released themselves.

Who can be asked about a case?

Only people who can already open it, so asking somebody never widens what they can see. A note can ask up to five people. The notification says who asked and which case, never the question itself, and the person's next note on the case is their answer.

Can the AI assistant answer from our own procedures?

Yes. It answers from your guides — the steps as written and in order, with the guide's video and links as buttons — and from a guide's PDF where whoever wrote the guide has let the assistant read it. Where no guide covers a job, it says there is no guide for that yet rather than making one up.

Cases and their notes are worked in the case monitor, and who can open which of them is set in roles and access. Back to all features.
