QR placards

A code on every door, seat and fixture that matters.

Placards print from CineScope, on your own printer or as a PDF for a print shop — there is no hardware to buy. Each code opens the right form for the place it hangs in, and a guest needs no app and no account to use it.

Which placards go where?

Report placards go on every auditorium and every restroom — a men's and a women's to start, and any others you add — and on any other place set up with a code; each kind of place can ask its own list of issue types. Once switched on, film rating placards go on the screen doors and match a rating to the showing in that room, and one visit rating placard goes by the exit. The QR placards page prints one set at a time — Issue reporting, Sentiment, Seats — because a sheet of cards that all look alike is a sheet somebody mounts in the wrong place.

Every code is a random token rather than a screen number, so codes cannot be guessed. An admin can rotate any of them from under its card, and the old code stops working the moment the button is pressed.

Seats, fixtures and your own design

A code on every seat

On a screen that sells numbered seats, every seat can have its own code. The guest's form already says "Seat D12" and never asks. Rows and seats are chosen from dropdowns, up to 1,000 an auditorium, and print three across the page as tags the shape of a 64 × 38 mm label.

Fixtures inside a room

Divide a room into what is in it — three urinals, three stalls, three sinks — and each gets its own code. A guest who scans one reads "Men's - Urinal 3", and the case is filed against that fixture, so whoever fixes it knows which one and each fixture keeps its own history.

Your own artwork

Upload a PNG or JPEG the shape of the paper — A4, A5, A6, US Letter, Half Letter, 5 × 7 or 4 × 6 in — for report, film rating or visit rating placards, for the whole circuit or one location. Drag the code where it goes, add the place's name or not, and each placard prints on a page of its own.

Your mark in the middle

Put your own mark in the middle of every code: a PNG, JPEG or WebP, squared and shrunk before it is sent. SVG is refused. Your logo goes at the top of our placard card and of the guest form, where "Powered by CineScope" stays.

QR placard questions

Do we need special hardware or a QR code service?

No. Placards print from the QR placards page in CineScope on any printer, and placards on your own design print one to a page, ready to save as a PDF a print shop can print as it is. Guests scan with their phone's camera; there is no app to install and no account to make.

What if a placard is defaced, copied or abused?

An admin presses Rotate QR code under that card. The old code stops working at once, before the new card is even printed, and the new one prints from the same page. Codes are random rather than screen numbers, so nobody can work out the code for the next room.

Can every seat have its own code?

Yes, on a screen that sells numbered seats. Rows and seats are set with dropdowns, up to 1,000 seats per auditorium. A guest who scans seat D12 opens that auditorium's report form with the seat already filled in, and each seat's code can be rotated on its own.

Can we use our own placard design?

Yes. Upload your artwork as a PNG or JPEG the shape of the paper, choose which placards and which locations it is for, and place the code and the place's name on it. Each placard still gets its own code at print time, so rotating a code or adding a restroom just works. Where several designs fit, the most particular one is used, and a location's own design beats the circuit's.

Can we remove 'Powered by CineScope'?

No. Your logo replaces the CineScope mark at the top of the guest form, and your own mark can sit in the middle of every QR code, but the 'Powered by CineScope' line stays on the guest form. It is not a setting.

Who can print placards?

Admins print for every location. A general manager prints the placards and seat codes for their own buildings, and gets the same sheet an admin would.

What a guest sees after scanning is on guest issue reporting, and what the rating placards collect is on guest sentiment. Back to all features.
